Join us on Wednesday evening to 6:30 p.m. for a time of group prayer.
At prayer meeting we pray! It may seem strange to say, but so many prayer meetings are filled with all sorts of things other than prayer. In our prayer meeting we spend an hour praying and talking to God in a very open and refreshing way. If you would like to experience this connection with God we invite you to join with us on Wednesday nights at 6:30 in the fellowship hall of the church.
Our format is casual. We sit in chairs (kneeling for an hour is impossible for many), typically around tables. Around 6:30 PM the leader opens the prayer with a praise, then the floor is open for anyone to add their praise, thanksgiving or request. There is no pressure since we do not go in a particular order. No one will be waiting for you to "say a prayer." You just pray as the Holy Spirit leads, or listen as He leads. We pray for one thing at a time rather then just listing off all our requests. This is so that others can join in with your petition or praise. A special focus tends to be outreach and praying for the Holy Spirit in our lives and those of our church and schools. When the prayers seem to have come to an end, generally around 7:30 PM we typically end with a short chorus, as the Holy Spirit leads.
We recognize that some people struggle to get to the church in time after work. If you are late, please come in anyway. Just quietly find an chair and join in the prayer.
