I
was born in Charlottesville, VA on May 26, 1959. I lived in
Pensacola, FL during my elementary school years and then attended
high school at Bass Memorial Academy in southern Mississippi. I
graduated from Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist
University) with a BA in theology and then received my MDiv degree
from the Adventist theological seminary at Andrews University.
Recently I completed a DMin degree
from Andrews University with an emphasis on evangelism.
I began my ministry in the Gulf States Conference where I pastored
several multi-church districts in Birmingham, AL; Columbus and
Meridian, MS; and Pensacola, FL. I took on my current assignment as
senior pastor of the Highland Seventh-day Adventist Church in April
of 1997. I love the Portland, TN area and enjoy working with my
Highland Church family.
I met and dated Judi Boles at Southern
Missionary College. We tied the knot on July 25, 1982 and have
enjoyed 26 years of marriage and ministry together. Judi is
currently teaching reading at Clyde Riggs Elementary and enjoys a
vocal music ministry. We have two children, Matt and Beth who are
currently attending Southern Adventist University.
My hobbies include camping, hiking, jogging, tennis, reading, music,
and family. My ministry passions include preaching God’s word,
winning people to Christ, and training members for ministry. My
purpose in life is to glorify God and to add to the great multitude
that will one day stand around God’s throne from every nation,
tribe, people, and tongue (Revelation 7:9), and to assist others in
doing the same. |
